We are pleased to share a new testimonial from the Czech Republic that was provided by the staff of the Institute of Experimental Biology at the Faculty of Science, Masaryk University.
The university uses the MAGUS Stereo D9T LCD digital stereomicroscope in its teaching and outreach activities. The instrument is used in classes and events for a wide audience, where providing convenient demonstrations of samples to multiple observers is required.
According to the university staff, one of the key advantages of this model is the LCD screen. During classes and public demonstrations, several people take turns using the same microscope. Having the image displayed on a monitor allows everyone to observe the sample without the need to constantly refocus the optics for each individual user.
When selecting the equipment, easy photo and video recording capabilities were also a priority. Students use the captured materials for their lab reports, while the university uses them for website publications and social media sharing.
The staff also noted the built-in upper and lower illumination as an additional advantage. It allows for convenient work with various sample types without the need for external light sources.
We thank the staff of the Institute of Experimental Biology at Masaryk University for their trust and positive evaluation of MAGUS equipment.
The video features silkworm caterpillars under the MAGUS Stereo 9T stereomicroscope.
Video is captured with the MAGUS CHD10 digital camera. Image output to the MAGUS MCD20 monitor in real time.
