Stereoscopic microscope stage inserts
The stereomicroscope stage insert is used to place the specimen and, therefore, MAGUS designs inserts for different samples, taking into account the type of illumination used and the contrast technique. The frosted glass insert allows all the light from the illuminator to pass through. The white matte insert diffuses the light, and the black-white insert makes it easier to get a contrast image of the transparent specimen.
A stage insert in the fluorescence microscope is an accessory that provides protection from stray light. When reflected light is used in microscopy, it hits the condenser lenses and reflects from them, thereby producing veiling glare in the image. It causes interference in fluorescence microscopy. The stage insert covers the hole in the stage and, therefore, the light does not reach the condenser optics.
Infinity plan achromatic objectives are the standard of laboratory research. These new objectives have a parfocal height of 45mm and provide magnifications of 10x, 40x, and 100x. A 0.17mm coverslip should be used for observations.
