MAGUS Equipment in Tribological Research

2026
The laboratory of a lubricants manufacturer shared their experience using the MAGUS Stereo D8T LCD PLUS Stereomicroscope.

MAGUS equipment is employed to conduct tribological studies as part of production monitoring. The primary tasks this microscope handles involve assessing the nature and degree of wear on metal surfaces as well as analyzing wear patterns on samples after testing. The data obtained is used for quality control and evaluating the performance of lubricants.

Laboratory staff highlight the sharp image quality, allowing them to confidently analyze metal surface topography, and the microscope’s large depth of field, which ensures comfortable work with three-dimensional objects. The convenience of working with the integrated digital camera and monitor enables quick measurements and instant on-screen results. The instrument’s ergonomic design for daily laboratory use was also noted.

MAGUS would like to thank the team for their trust and feedback. We are pleased that our equipment streamlines workflows, accelerates result processing, and maintains the required measurement precision.
