An episcopic light provides bright, shadow-free illumination of the field of view with no heat damage to the sample. It is used to illuminate opaque objects in stereomicroscopy.
An attachment is mounted between the microscope head and zoom objective. The light source is in the lamphouse. The lamphouse is connected to the attachment via the flexible dual light guide. The light enters the attachment through the light guide and is directed to the sample through the objective. Such illumination method allows you to get a clear image without glare and shadows, even at high magnification of the microscope objective.
A quarter-wave plate is used with coaxial illumination. A quarter-wave plate reduces glare and improves the image quality by controlling the light polarization.
The brightness is adjustable. AC power supply.
An episcopic light is used for studying samples and quality control in forensics, biology, microelectronics, and printing.
