USB 3.0, 3.1MP, 1/1.8'', color

The MAGUS CBF50 digital camera is designed for the brightfield microscopy technique.
The camera is equipped with a 3.1MP sensor and delivers realistic images at 2048 x 1536pix resolution when viewed with 40x, 60x, and 100x objectives.
Video is recorded at 53fps or 85fps depending on resolution. It is smooth; it has soft and subtle transitions between frames. The movement of the sample is displayed in real time with no delays. The camera makes it easy to work with moving samples and it is suitable for classroom demonstrations.
The camera is equipped with a USB 3.0 interface. The data transfer speed is 10 times faster than USB 2.0 cameras. This high-speed camera is recommended for professional laboratories, research, or university training.

Description

Sensor
The camera is equipped with a SONY Exmor backlit color CMOS sensor. This technology increases light sensitivity and improves camera performance in low-light conditions.
The 1/1.8" sensor with 3.45x3.45µm pixels provides light sensitivity of 1146mV at 1/30s. To achieve the maximum field of view without distortion, we recommend using an adapter with a magnification of 0.5x to 0.75x.

Software features
The camera uses software to display images on an external display, take photographs, record video, edit images, and measure linear and angular dimensions of objects and their structures. Before taking measurements, the software must be calibrated for each objective with a calibration slide.

Installation
The camera is mounted on the microscope in the trinocular tube or side camera port using the C-mount adapter (included). To mount the camera in an eyepiece tube instead of an eyepiece, you will need a special C-mount adapter and adapters to fit the tube diameter (not included).

Key features

  • For brightfield microscopy with 40x, 60x, and 100x objectives
  • 3.1MP resolution for obtaining detailed images at higher magnification; low noise level, low-power dissipation
  • 53fps and 85fps at 2048x1536pix resolutions and 1024x768pix for observing moving samples, recording video, and moving the preparation without jerkiness and delays
  • SONY Exmor backlit color CMOS sensor provides low noise level and high light sensitivity even in low-light conditions. You will get clearer, brighter, and more color-saturated images
  • USB 3.0 interface for fast, smooth data transfer
  • Software with photo, video recording, editing, external display, and linear and angular measurement

Package

  • Digital camera
  • USB cable
  • Installation CD with drivers and software
