If the user’s vision is imperfect, this eyepiece makes it easier to bring the specimen into sharp focus. If there is diopter adjustment on the eyepiece tube, it does not prevent the use of this eyepiece, and adjustment can be done either on the eyepiece or on the eyepiece tube.
