USB3.0, 2.1MP, 1/1.2'', color

The MAGUS CDF50 digital camera is designed for the brightfield and darkfield microscopy technique. It offers a low noise level and high light sensitivity.
The camera is equipped with a 2.1MP sensor and delivers realistic Full HD images (1920x1080px) when observing with 40x, 60x, and 100x objectives.
Video is recorded at 96fps at maximum resolution: It is smooth, with soft and subtle transitions between frames. The movement of the sample is displayed in real time with no delays. The camera makes it easy to work with moving objects and is suitable for classroom demonstrations.
The camera is equipped with a USB3.0 interface. The data transfer speed is 10 times faster than USB2.0 cameras. The high-speed camera is recommended for professional laboratories, research, or university training.

Description

Sensor
The camera is equipped with a SONY Exmor backlit color CMOS sensor. This technology increases light sensitivity and improves camera performance in low-light conditions.
The 1/1.2" sensor with 5.8x5.8µm pixel size provides light sensitivity of 8935mV with 1/30s. To achieve the maximum field of view without distortion, we recommend using an adapter with a magnification of 0.6x to 0.9x. This is one of the most powerful cameras for darkfield microscopy observations at high magnification.

Software features
The camera uses software to display images on an external display, take photographs, record video, edit images, and measure the linear and angular dimensions of samples and their structures. Before taking measurements, the software must be calibrated for each objective with a calibration slide.

Installation
The camera is mounted on the microscope in the trinocular tube/camera port using the C-mount adapter (included). To mount the camera in an eyepiece tube instead of an eyepiece, you will need a special C-mount adapter and adapter rings (not included) to fit the tube diameter.

Key features

  • For brightfield and darkfield microscopy with 40x, 60x, and 100x objectives; large pixel camera with 8935mV light sensitivity with 1/30s for darkfield microscopy observations at high magnification
  • The camera resolution is 1920x1080px: an ideal choice for displaying images on a Full HD monitor
  • 96fps for observing objects that are moving, recording video and moving the sample without jerkiness or delays
