MAGUS CBF12 Digital Camera

USB 3.0, 20MP, 1/1.8'', color

MAGUS CBF12 is the most budget-friendly camera for the brightfield microscopy technique.
The camera is equipped with an 20MP sensor and produces realistic images at a resolution of 5120x3840pix. The camera is recommended for use with 4x and 10x flat-field microscope objectives as well as stereomicroscopes. When working with low magnification objectives, the camera will enable you to see more fine details.
At maximum resolution, video is captured at 20fps. It is enough for adjusting the focus of the microscope.
At resolutions of 2560x1920pix, the frequency increases to 45fps. The transitions between frames become softer and the camera catches the slightest movement of the sample. These modes are suitable for classroom demonstrations, recording video of fast-moving processes, and observing samples that are moving.
The camera is equipped with a USB 3.0 interface. The data transfer speed is 10 times faster than USB 2.0 cameras. The high-speed camera is recommended for professional laboratories, research, or university training.

Description

Sensor
The camera features an Aptina color CMOS sensor. This is the most budget-friendly Magus camera with high resolution.
The 1/1.8'' sensor with 1.4x1.4µm pixel provides light sensitivity of 8.4 ke−/lux.sec. To achieve the maximum field of view without distortion, we recommend using an adapter with a magnification of 0.4x to 0.6x.

Software features
The camera uses software to display images on an external display, take photographs, record video, edit images, and measure linear and angular dimensions of objects and their structures. Before taking measurements, the software must be calibrated for each objective with a calibration slide.

Installation
The camera is mounted on the microscope in the trinocular tube or side camera port using the C-mount adapter (included). To mount the camera in an eyepiece tube instead of an eyepiece, you will need a special C-mount adapter and adapters to fit the tube diameter (not included).
