Description
Sensor
The camera is equipped with a SONY Exmor backlit color CMOS sensor. This technology increases light sensitivity and improves camera performance in low-light conditions.
The 1/2" sensor with 3.75x3.75µm pixel provides light sensitivity of 2350mV at 1/30s. To achieve the maximum field of view without distortion, we recommend using an adapter with a magnification of 0.4x to 0.6x. It is the most budget-friendly camera for darkfield microscopy.
Software features
The camera uses software to display images on an external display, take photographs, record video, edit images, and measure linear and angular dimensions of samples and their structures. Before taking measurements, the software must be calibrated for each objective with a calibration slide.
Installation
The camera can be mounted on the microscope in two ways.
The first method involves installing it into the microscope’s camera port using a C‑mount adapter. Please note that this adapter may be included with your microscope, depending on its specific model and configuration.
The second method consists of inserting the camera into the eyepiece tube instead of the eyepiece. This requires a special C‑mount adapter as well as adapter rings that match the diameter of your microscope’s eyepiece tube. These components are not included in the standard package and are sold separately.
Before buying a camera, we recommend checking your microscope’s package contents and, if necessary, purchasing the appropriate adapters.
