MAGUS BD90 Dark Field Module, for reflected light observations For darkfield observations
The MAGUS Pol 890 polarizing microscope provides for darkfield observations in reflected light. To achieve this, the MAGUS BD90 darkfield module is mounted in the turret of the reflected light illuminator, and the standard objectives are replaced with brightfield and darkfield objectives from the MAGUS S-APO BD60 set.
The darkfield microscopy in reflected light is used to study polished sections, powders, and granules. The technique enhances the image detail, enables the quantitative analysis of particles, and provides additional information about the sample structure, delivering high-contrast images of the grain boundaries that remain invisible in the bright field.
