Objective for brightfield observations.
The MAGUS Bio V360 microscope kit includes phase objectives. The inner lens of such an objective has a metal film ring etched on it that is required for phase contrast observations. The metal film provides a quarter-wavelength phase shift relative to the rest of the light, and it reduces light transmission. Therefore, objectives without phase plates are recommended for brightfield observations.

The resolution limit of a 20х/0.40 objective is 0.69μm.
Chromatic aberrations are corrected for blue and red, spherical aberration for green, and the field curvature is corrected for 90% of the field of view diameter.

The objective is specifically designed for the infinity-corrected tube length. The parfocal distance is 60mm. When a 10/22 mm eyepiece is used, the diameter of the field of view is 1.1mm. The objective is for carrying out work with dishes with a bottom thickness of 1.2mm.

The lower limit of the microscope’s useful magnification, when a 20x objective is used, is 200x. Lower magnification does not allow you to distinguish the details of the specimen whose image is formed by the objective.
The upper limit of the useful magnification, when a 20x objective is used, is 400x. Higher magnification is considered “useless” as it provides no new detail in the image of the sample.
With the 20x/0.40 objective, use the eyepieces with a magnification from 10x to 20x.

Plan achromatic objectives form an image that has the same focus in the center and at the edges and, therefore, the distortion is negligible. This strength is used for digital imaging and combining them with wide-field eyepieces with a 22mm field of view.
