MAGUS CBF10 Digital Camera

USB 3.0, 18MP, 1/2.3'', color

MAGUS CBF10 is the most budget-friendly camera for the brightfield microscopy technique.
The camera is equipped with an 18MP sensor and produces realistic images at a resolution of 4912x3684pix. The camera is recommended for use with 4x and 10x flat-field microscope objectives as well as stereomicroscopes. When working with low magnification objectives, the camera will enable you to see more fine details.
At maximum resolution, video is captured at 13.1fps. It is enough for adjusting the focus of the microscope.
At resolutions of 2456x1842pix and 1228x922pix, the frequency increases to 34.3fps and 54.4fps. The transitions between frames become softer and the camera catches the slightest movement of the sample. These modes are suitable for classroom demonstrations, recording video of fast-moving processes, and observing samples that are moving.
The camera is equipped with a USB 3.0 interface. The data transfer speed is 10 times faster than USB 2.0 cameras. The high-speed camera is recommended for professional laboratories, research, or university training.

The camera features an Aptina color CMOS sensor. This is the most budget-friendly Magus camera with high resolution.
The 1/2.3'' sensor with 1.25x1.25µm pixel provides light sensitivity of 0.62mV/lux/s. To achieve the maximum field of view without distortion, we recommend using an adapter with a magnification of 0.4x to 0.6x.

Software features
The camera uses software to display images on an external display, take photographs, record video, edit images, and measure linear and angular dimensions of objects and their structures. Before taking measurements, the software must be calibrated for each objective with a calibration slide.

The camera is mounted on the microscope in the trinocular tube or side camera port using the C-mount adapter (included). To mount the camera in an eyepiece tube instead of an eyepiece, you will need a special C-mount adapter and adapters to fit the tube diameter (not included).
