MAGUS 100PL60 W Plan 100х/1.10 ∞/0.17 H60mm Objective
Infinity-corrected plan achromatic objective. Magnification: 100x. Aperture: 1.10

The water immersion objective uses distilled water as the immersion fluid. Distilled water has no inherent fluorescence and does not contaminate physiological solutions. The water immersion objective requires no special cleaning techniques and no additional costs for the purchase of immersion oil and o-xylene.
The oil immersion objective provides excellent resolution and high contrast of images only when the sample is in direct contact with the coverslip. When cellular structures and processes are studied at a micrometer distance from the coverslip, oil often causes severe optical distortions. This problem is resolved by replacing oil with water, which proves that the water immersion objective is an excellent choice for live cell microscopy.

The resolution limit of a 100х/1.10 objective is 0.26μm.
Chromatic aberrations are corrected for blue and red, spherical aberration for green, and the field curvature is corrected for 90% of the field of view diameter.

The objective is designed for the infinity-corrected tube length. The parfocal distance is 60mm. When a 10х/22 mm eyepiece is used, the diameter of the field of view is 0.22mm. The objective is designed to be used with specimens with 0.17mm coverslips.

The lower limit of the microscope’s useful magnification, when a 100x objective is used, is 550x. Lower magnification does not allow you to distinguish the details of the specimen whose image is formed by the objective.
The upper limit of the useful magnification, when a 100x objective is used, is 1100x. Higher magnification is considered “useless” as it provides no new detail in the image of the sample.
With the 100x/1.10 objective, use the eyepieces with magnifications from 5x to 10x.

Plan achromatic objectives form an image that has the same focus in the center and at the edges and, therefore, the distortion is negligible. This strength is used for digital imaging and for combining them with wide-field eyepieces with a 22mm field of view.
