Description
Digital camera
The digital camera mounted in the trinocular tube using a C-mount adapter will record the intermediate and final results of the observation process. This feature is used for quality control and building a database. The 21MP camera on the 1x C-mount adapter will deliver the desired resolution for stereomicroscope observations, and the 4/3" sensor will display the maximum possible field of view. With the minimum magnification of the microscope, the field of view on the computer screen will be 53.5x37mm.
Microscope head
The zoom objective allows for the smooth change of magnification up to 8.4x with no loss of focus. The microscope generates an upright (not inverted) three-dimensional image. The 0.5x auxiliary objective lens changes the magnification range, field of view, and working distance of the microscope.
A magnification of 3.25–27.5x and a working distance of 177mm for soldering are achieved when the 0.5x auxiliary lens is used.
A magnification of 6.5–55x and a working distance of 105mm for quality control are achieved when the 0.5x auxiliary lens is not used.
Instrument manipulations require a larger field of view than visual observation in quality control. When viewed through the eyepieces, the diameter of the field of view with the 0.5x auxiliary lens is 67.7mm using 3.25x microscope magnification, and it is 8mm using 27.5x magnification.
The basic configuration includes 10x/22mm eyepieces with diopter adjustment and eye relief to work with glasses.
Illuminators
Different tasks require different types of illumination. The kit includes two illuminators. The ring light with a polarizer removes glare from metal. The gooseneck light creates shadows that enable our vision to detect surface topography.
Stand
The universal stand with a solid base minimizes the vibrations that are caused by movement, while the long horizontal arm expands the working area.
It is not always convenient to move the object in the optical path during work. Sometimes moving the microscope head is preferable. The micro adjustment knob allows for the smooth horizontal movement of the microscope head back and forth.
At the end of the stand, there is a mechanism to change the angle of the optical axis. The operator can observe the specimen that is on the table, looking at it from an angle. This feature makes it more convenient to perform manipulations, check the soldering quality, and observe curved objects.
Focusing mechanism
The focusing mechanism has coarse and fine focusing features. The fine focusing will make it easy to adjust the microscope when using magnifications above 40x. The focusing knobs are coaxial, i.e., located on both sides. The coarse focusing tension is adjustable.
Accessories and other off-the-shelf solutions
Comfortable work conditions improve operator productivity. Our off-the-shelf solutions are based on the experience of electronic engineers. At the same time, MAGUS offers other components that you can use to assemble the microscope kit based on your budget and preferences as well as tasks the to be solved. Moreover, in the future, you can supplement the kit with the required accessories.
